Weather

​

• From November to March we have high winds in Monteverde. So please understand that this is normal and is what you can expect. We cannot control the weather. Don't blame us. It is nature and Monteverde. However, even with high winds you should be able to enjoy any activity we have here in Monteverde. And we can almost guarantee that you will not see one mosquito here unless you bring it up in a suitcase.

• There are no patterns in the weather.  Be prepared with fresh clothes for sunny days; something for warmth, a sweater or light jacket is sufficient and slippers to be in the house.

• Don't worry about the fact that there is no AC: it definitely isn't required!

No breakfast

​

• We are unable to offer breakfast what people mostly do is get a couple of things like yogurt rolls or even cereal or whatever and have breakfast in the room. The room does have a small fridge, microwave, and cups, plates utensils, etc. Also, there is a coffee maker and we provide some great local coffee. Also restaurants in town close by for breakfast. We will fill you in on everything when you arrive.

 

Children

•  We do not provide Baby Cribs or extra beds in the rooms.

• Only children over 8 years old are allowed.

 

Schedule

•  No late arrivals after 9p.m(Reception open from 7a.m until 9p.m).

Insects

​

•  We are located in one of the world's most famous Cloud forests in the world, so, please come prepared to deal with insects.

• We suggest you to keep all windows and doors closed at night time.

 

In addition…

​

• We have two Dogs in the Hotel, they are part of Rainbow Valley Lodge Family.

• Unpaved roads and unpaved driveways mean that four-wheel drive is the best.

• The winds are howling in Monteverde. Earplugs might be a good idea to sleep better.
